I traced my family history back to North English Iowa, and apparently my family, the West's were a pretty big to-do back in the day there! The Iowa County Historical Society happened to have several boxes of the West Family's relics, pictures, letters, etc. Someone there was kind enough to take the time to scan hundreds of items and send them to me on a jump drive! I will be visiting the area this Thanksgiving 2016 and look forward to finding out more about how my family was such a historical part of the area!
